  1. With Instagram becoming a bigger platform for Video, the question is what video format does Instagram support? Well video for Instagram must be saved as an MP4. Video Duration: If trying to upload from the mobile, the limit is 15 minutes. If uploading from your laptop browser, its 60 minutes. Video Size for Instagram: You can upload a vertical video of aspect ratio 9:16 or a horizontal video of aspect ration 16:9. The video can be (vertical) 1080 X 1920 pixels. or (Horizontal) 1920 X 1080 pixels. If your video is 10 minutes or less the maximum file size is 650MB. If your Video is upto 60 minutes in duration, the maximum file size is 3.6GB. Cover Photo Size: Once uploaded you cannot change the cover photo. The recommended size for cover photos is 420px by 654px (or 1:1.55 ratio). .
