  1. When we start writing out first script, we never have the money. So we need some cool free software to get started. Adobe Story Adobe Story is a free online collaborative (or not) scriptwriting software. You need to create a user account and be connected to teh internet while you write. PlotBoto Plotbot is another free browser based free scriptwriting software. ScreenForge ScreenForge v1.1a is a combination of three MS Word templates that work together to create a Script Cover page, Title/Fly page, and the Screenplay itself. It has been designed with the formatting rules outlined in the book, The Complete Guide To Standard Script Formats Part I: The Screenplay, by Hillis R. Cole, Jr., and Judith H. Haag. The Screenwriter's Bible, by David Trottier, also contributed some useful screenwriting elements. ScreenForge provides the means to easily write a screenplay in the accepted Hollywood format. It frees the writer to concentrate on the expressive craft of writing rather than the rigid rules of formatting, while maintaining the familiar interface and functionality of MS Word. NOTE: Follow the above ScreenForge link for important information about the licensing and registration fee for the ScreenForge screenwriting software. Cinergy Script Editor The editor can be installed as standalone script editing program, or you can access it from within the main Cinergy production management system. The CSE is the easiest way to automatically apply industry standard formatting and pagination rules to your script. An intuitive interface allows you to spend more time focusing on ideas instead of using your energy on properly formatting your pages. Scripts are automatically formatted for character names, action, dialog and other elements while you write. Continual software updates are provided via the Cinergy Update Wizard, and require only the click of a button to download and install the latest enhancements. System Requirements: Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP, 233 MHz Pentium or higher, 10-30MB of available hard disk space, Internet access for online updates. Minimum system RAM: 32MB (Not for Mac yet)
