Starting this thread celebrating the numerous people who go into making a great film, and not just stars.

In the making of a film, many hundreds of people must collaborate with their hearts, apart from Directors, Ceinematographers, Audiographers, Editors, Music Composers, Actors, MakeUp People, Choreographers, Dancers, Action Masters, Spot Boys, Line Producers, Executive Producers, Focus Pullers, Light Boys, Gaffers, generator Operators etc. Send us recommendations.

We start the series with Salim Memon, a very experience and diligent Line Producer, who comes with a problem solving approach. I first worked with Salim in around 2007 or so and have almost always worked with him since then.

One of the most crucial yet thankless jobs on a set is that of the Focus Puller. A 1000 tack sharp shots, no problems, one soft focus and all hell breaks down. Manu Gupta has been working for years as a Focus Puller and delivering shot after shot after shots in daunting conditions. #HumansOfDesiShoots

The Audiographer, or the Sound 'Head Of Department' is the guy many of us don't make an attempt to get to know better. Featuring Vinit D'Souza, Audiographer, Sound Recordist, Sound Designer par excellence. Amongst his scores of credits include the recent Pataal Lok, where he has also played a cameo, and movies like Drishyam, Umrika etc. #HumansOfDesiShoots

Continuing with our series #HumansOfDesiShoots, we present Divay Puri and Shiraz Chand the inventors of Balarka Arm. Have used their fantastic gear and loved it. A remote operated stabilised head mounted on a vehicle. Great for action shots.

If film production requires plenty of skill dedication, so does Post Production. Technology, science, art, skill, so much is required of the Post Producer and Arvind Boodi is at the forefront of this space. Having recently completed Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy, Arvind is busy once again and is also working on his own personal film projects.

Gaffers are those amazing people who work closely with and help bring the Cinematographer's vision to 'light'. Any Cinematographer will tell how dependent they are on a goof #gaffer. Nikhil Gupta is a very skilled and enthusiastic gaffer, who always has another solution, another trick, in the truck. Celebrating Gaffers. #HumansOfDesiShoots

No shoot is possible without the hard work of Spot Boys. The first people to reach the sets and perhaps the last to leave, their presence is deliberately invisible, but their work is the pillar on which production stands. Here, Nassir quietly fixing on thing, as he is alert on the walkie on the other. #HumansOfDesiShoots
